Lead MEP Engineer

Matcha Talent is currently partnering with a professional architectural and engineering consultancy company that providing integrated design and technical services for development and industrial projects in Indonesia. Established in 2025, this consulting firm provides end-to-end architectural, structural, and MEP engineering services, supporting projects from concept development through detailed design, documentation, and regulatory approvals (including PBG & SLF).

The Lead MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting architectural and structural designs.

In this early and development stage, the person will be closely working with the General Manager, and acts as the Engineer-in-Charge for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with Indonesian HVAC, electrical, and plumbing codes and regulations, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders from concept, design development, to construction documentation.

MEP System Design

• Develop mechanical, electrical, and plumbing layouts and calculations.
• Ensure system efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications.

Coordination & Integration

• Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural designs.
• Resolve design clashes and technical conflicts.
• Support integrated project delivery.

Documentation & Construction Support

• Prepare MEP documentation for authority submissions.
• Review shop drawings and provide site support.
• Assist during testing, commissioning, and handover.

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering with valid SIP (Surat Izin Praktik) and relevant SKK (Sertifikat Kompetensi Kerja).
2. Minimum 7 years of experience in MEP engineering roles, including responsibility as Engineer-in-Charge.
3. Industry Background: Architecture consultancy, engineering consultancy, or industrial or regulated development projects.
4. Core Expertise: HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing & drainage; MEP coordination and system integration.
5. Tools & Systems: AutoCAD (mandatory); MEP calculation software (preferred).
6. Proficient in English (professional level to understand technical terms and to communicate with stakeholders).
