Instrument Technician

PT Vando Teknik Solusi provides technical services and industrial engineering solutions for smelter and manufacturing environments. This role focuses on ensuring reliable performance of instrumentation systems through maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and installation activities to support stable and safe plant operations.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation equipment, including gas detectors and industrial sensors.
• Conduct routine inspections (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly) and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation failures, analyze root causes, and execute corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Carry out calibration, minor repairs, and shutdown-related inspections for instrumentation devices.
• Ensure instrumentation equipment maintains a minimum of 98% operational readiness.
• Support installation, configuration, and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.
• Verify compliance with K3 safety standards in all work areas.
• Forecast and manage spare-part requirements for instrumentation components.
• Interpret technical drawings, such as P&ID, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, logic, loop, and wiring diagrams.

• Vocational high school (instrumentation/electronics), Diploma in Electrical/Electronics (low current), or Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., Physics Engineering, Electrical, Electronics).
• Experience in industrial instrumentation (minimum 3–5 years preferred; fresh graduates considered for specific majors).
• Strong understanding of sensors, hydraulic systems, thermocouples, transmitters, flowmeters, valves, and RTD maintenance.
• Proficiency in Siemens S7 or Rockwell PLC programming, HART communication, TIA Portal, and Profinet protocol.
• Experience with gas analyzer or robotic equipment maintenance is an advantage.
• Familiarity with smelter operations is a plus.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Gresik domicile (required).
• Ability to distinguish colors correctly.
