Head Furniture Designer

PT. Cambridge Casual Indonesia are seeking a talented and experienced Head Furniture Designer to lead our design team in the creation of innovative and functional furniture products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing high-quality furniture products, managing a design team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring products to market. The Head Furniture Designer will be responsible for overseeing the entire furniture design process, from conceptualization to production, and ensuring the design team meets project timelines, quality standards, and customer expectations.

- Lead the furniture design team and manage the design process from concept to production - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to ensure the furniture products meet customer needs and preferences - Develop innovative furniture designs that meet quality, aesthetic, and functionality standards - Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest furniture design trends, market demands, and consumer preferences to inform the development of innovative and relevant furniture products - Have experience working with US market customers and a deep understanding of the US furniture market's unique characteristics, design preferences, and consumer behavior - Develop a deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and technology to inform the development of furniture products that meet quality, durability, and safety standards - Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion - Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop product launch strategies, marketing materials, and sales plans that align with business objectives and customer needs - Foster relationships with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure the timely and cost-effective production of furniture products - Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders, including design team members, executives, vendors, and customers, to ensure smooth project management and successful product launches - Strive to continuously improve design processes, tools, and techniques to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in the furniture design process - Provide constructive feedback and support to the design team and foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence - Attend industry events and trade shows to stay up-to-date with industry trends and network with potential customers and partners

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related field - 8+ years of experience in furniture design, with a proven track record of developing successful furniture products and managing a design team - Strong design portfolio showcasing furniture design projects and experience with design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or Rhino - Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design trends in the furniture industry - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams - Strong leadership and management skills to manage a design team and oversee multiple projects
