Lead Architect

Matcha Talent is currently partnering with a professional architectural and engineering consultancy company that providing integrated design and technical services for development and industrial projects in Indonesia. 

The Lead Architect serves as Architect-in-Charge and is fully responsible for the architectural integrity, regulatory compliance, and technical coordination of assigned projects. This role leads architectural execution across all project phases and acts as the primary professional representative when coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.

Architectural Design & Technical Leadership

• Act as Architect-in-Charge for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with Indonesian building regulations and professional standards.
• Lead architectural design from concept development through detailed design and construction documentation.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, details, and specifications.

Regulatory & Authority Coordination

• Prepare and oversee architectural documentation for PBG and SLF submissions.
• Coordinate with local authorities and external consultants during approval processes.
• Ensure all architectural deliverables meet regulatory and permitting requirements.

Project Coordination & Construction Support

• Coordinate architectural scope with structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical clarifications during construction.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders as required.

Team Guidance & Quality Control

• Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior architects and drafting staff.
• Ensure design consistency, accuracy, and constructability across project stages.

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized university, with valid STRA (Surat Tanda Registrasi Arsitek).
2. Minimum 7 years of professional architectural experience, including responsibility as Architect-in-Charge or lead architect.
3. Industry Background: Architecture consultancy, engineering consultancy, or industrial or regulated development projects.
4. Core Expertise: Architectural design development and construction documentation; Indonesian building regulations and authority processes; PBG and SLF submission coordination; Cross-discipline design coordination.
5. Tools & Systems: AutoCAD (mandatory); Revit or BIM tools (preferred); Microsoft Office for reporting and coordination.
6. Proficient in English (professional level to understand technical terms and to communicate with stakeholders).
